Dr. Todd Smith

Dr. Todd S. Smith, DDS was born and raised in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. He received his Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in Mathematics from The University of Minnesota, Minneapolis. He received his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1985. After Practicing in the Twin Cities for 2 years he moved his family to West Central Minnesota and practiced at Elbow Lake Dental Center for 9 years before opening Area lakes Dental in Battle lake, MN in January of 1996.

Dr. Smith has been a member of the American Dental Association, Minnesota Dental Association, the West Central District Dental Society. He is a long time member of the Heartland Study Club (formerly part of the Seattle Study Clubs) where he was given the award for Clinical Excellence in 2006 & 2007. He advances his dental education continually through many different dental continuing education seminars, as well as, The Dawson Academy For The Advancement of Dentistry and the Zimmer Biomet Institute.

Dr. Smith has been married for 32 years to his wife, Rebecca. They were blessed with 2 children, Sarah & Joshua and 4 grandchildren. They have been members of Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church in Fergus Falls since its inception. In his free time, he enjoys long weekends along the North Shore of Lake Superior, helping friends, target shooting (hopes to learn to hunt soon) and reading.
